Goodbye September, hello October!
This is my favorite month of the year, the weather outside is not too cold and not too hot, the leaves are changing, and I can finally break out my boots and scarves! There's nothing about fall that isn't completely beautiful, I just wish it lasted a little bit longer.
This month I was focusing on trying out some new products and colors to see how they work for since I had been stuck in a little bit of a makeup rut, reaching for the same things every day. I've switched it up and started using a cream bronzer, broke out of my Revlon lip product pattern so another brand could have a try at wow-ing me, and for the first time been rocking something other than neutral colors on my eyes.
Too Faced Aqua Bunny Cream-to-Powder Splash-Proof Bronzer
I bought this a few weeks ago for $14.00 when Too Faced was having a "Vintage Sale" where you can still purchase all the items on the sale page here, granted the discount isn't as extreme as the previous sale. 'm not sure if those items are being discontinued or not, but regardless you should run out and grab this bronzer! Its so blendable so you can't over-do it, doesn't have any shimmer so works for contouring, and has fantastic lasting power!
Organix Weightless Healing Oil Moroccan Argan Oil
I've always heard the hype about Moroccan and Argan oil for such a long time that I had to try it out for myself! I deffinitely wasn't going to splurge for the Moroccan Oil brand when I didn't even know if it would suit my hair type. I saw the Organix one at the drugstore, and its been a holy grail hair product for me ever since! It seriously does miracles for my hair, I spray it in when I get out of the shower and let dry overnight. In the morning I have amazing frizz free wavy hair that doesn't need any heat! My hair is super healthy because the Organix Moroccan Argan Oil has totally eliminated any need for me to use heat, and I love how its in a spray bottle so my hands don't get all slimy!
NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Beige
This was such an impulse purchase a while ago because right before I was about to go into work I had forgotten my lipstick at home so I went to a local beauty supply store to find that they sell NYX! I was so excited because I've always had to order NYX online since there's no ULTA near me and no one else sells it. Normally I stick to Revlon for my lip products, but I'm so glad I forgot my lipstick that day because the Mega Shine Lip Glosses are so pigmented, creamy, and smell like candy!
Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadows in Mossy Green and Barely Beige
You guys know I have been swooning over these limited edition Color Tattoos from Maybelline ever since my haul! Mossy Green is a little patchy and sheer when applied, but once you build it up its just such a gorgeous color I don't even mind the extra effort. Barely Beige has been my go-to inner corner highlight, its just such a perfect color that doesn't lean too pink or too yellow! I've never had an issue with these creasing or fading, I really want to grab the ones from the permanent line.
Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum
This was a sample from an online order I made a while ago that I didn't really think much of when I got it. You guys know I like more of the white-ish type highlights and this one is on the beige side so I thought it wouldn't really give me enough of a highlight. But don't let the beige color fool you, the Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum dries down to this gorgeous champagne finish that catches the light perfectly! The swatches below are really accurate, you can see that the one of this Serum fades from a skin tone color to that beautiful almost metallic color.

Lovely favourites! Especially loving the limited edition color tattoos - I don't know if we're getting them or not!
ReplyDeleteS xx
I would imagine so, but those always like to make you beauties in the UK wait a while before you get the new products ;)

Great favs Emily. I can't remember if I already own beige. I'm going to hunt through my collection today to see. Can I ask where u do your photos and what on? The lighting is perfect and I like the white background. xx Alicia
ReplyDeleteHaha wow Alicia, I cannot even tell you the cheesy smile that your comment put on my face, I've never had someone tell me they liked my photos!
DeleteI use a Nikon d3100 camera (my new love) on just a little nightstand table I painted white a while ago in front of a window (its actually quite discolored now, lots of editing to make it look white)! Sometimes I just get lucky with nice lighting, it was an overcast/rain-yish day when I took these!
xx
I absolutely adore Organix products! xo
ReplyDeleteOhh really, which ones are your faves? I need new products to try but I'm not sure which ones to start with! xx
