August Favorites

August is always that one month that I cannot wait to end. I LOVE the start of September, its always represented the start of new things since its been when I've gone back to school for the past 12 years. But this year is a little bittersweet since I've decided not to attend University right away, so I kind of feel like I'm missing out while all my friends are posting their photos online with their new college buddies.

I'm trying to look at the bright side, I want to really further my blog and create new opportunities for myself in this time off from school! I've invested in my new Nikon D3100 and I hope you've been noticing how much better and clearer the photos have been, I'm obsessed with just snapping pictures all around my room! But enough rambling, on to the makeup I've loved throughout August!

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

I've just recently bought this, but its already made itself a permanent spot into my everyday makeup routine! Particularly I love using Bootycall all over the lid and then working Tease into the crease.

Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer #1

I'm not going to bore you with another rant over how much I love this after I've already done so when I hauled it, but seriously the most perfect highlight!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Coral Reef

I've always been a fan of Revlon lip products, the Super Lustrous line is no exception! This color is pigmented enough on its own that I don't feel the need to layer it on top of a lipstick, but it has really worked wonders over top of the lipstick I'm going to mention. These are fabulous if you're looking for a long wearing gloss that's not sticky with good pigmentation!

e.l.f. Studio Lip Lock Pencil

I've never been one to fuss with lip liners, but this one is different because its clear and you put it around your lips instead of on them to prevent feathering. It really works wonders for me, I don't feel like I have to constantly check my lip color when I'm wearing something bold to see if it has started to move. A great investment at $3.00!

NYX Femme Round Lipstick

I originally purchased one of these for my last giveaway and the color looked so stunning I went to get another one for myself! The picture truely don't do it justice, its a neon orange on the lips. I'm not crazy about the NYX formula, but the color is so beautiful I don't even care! Plus topping it with the Revlon Coral Reef gloss helps a bit.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Goddess

I don't use this too much as a bronzer, more as a blush since it has a nice red undertone to it. I'll just pop this on my cheeks when I have a really bold lip or eye look going on. Its just subtle enough to not over power my face but adds nice definition. For only $3.00 this bronzer is fantastic in terms of texture, its so smooth it practically glides on the face!
