Pretty & Practical Storage: Rings

Hi guys, hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

I'm going to be starting a new series on storage for all sorts of girly items that can sometimes be a pain to find a place for. I'm quite OCD to the point where everything must have its own little home that looks nice otherwise it makes me very distraught, so I figured I'd be a good person to give some advice on pretty but practical (hence the name) storage ideas!

First up is rings!

Rings are one of those items that I like to have open storage for because they not only look pretty displayed, but its also easier to see all your rings at once when you're trying to decide which one to pair with an outfit.

My ceramic petal ring holder is from Target, which I actually found on clearance for $6.00!I used to keep my rings stored in a little bowl all jumbled on top of one another, but it was beginning to be a pain to dig through it in the morning as my collection grew bigger.

I think the ring holders that are a "dish" style are easier to use because any rings that spill over and don't fit on the actual "holder" part can sit nicely in the dish. Other ones that are more for decorative purposes (like this one from Urban Outfitters) only allow you to stack rings on top of each other which really won't work if you're trying to grab one in a rush or have a lot of rings like me!

I've never actually gone in search of a ring holder, this one just happened to jump out at me while scavenging around the Target clearance section. That being said, I don't really know of any good retailers to grab these from, but on Etsy they have such a beautiful selection (even ones you can customize) of unique and reasonably priced ring holders that will fit any decor!
I hope you guys enjoyed the first post in my Pretty & Practical Storage series and more importantly learned some handy new tips! I'll keep periodically posting these for things like earrings, body care items, makeup, hair accessories, etc. I'm always finding new ways to keep things organized so I think this series will keep going for a long time ;)!

  1. I don't own that many jewellery because I lack ideas on how to store/display them. The petal dish is a great idea though! Thanks a lot for sharing and I'm looking forward to other ideas you have.
