Hey guys! I was going through all of my old posts and realized I haven't done a "What's in my Travel Makeup Bag" post in almost an entire year! This was my last one from October 2011. I don't travel that much, mostly back and forth between my mom's/dad's house but last time I was away for Labor Day I snapped some pictures to show you what I take with me!

Reviva Labs Makeup Primer: Review, Photos, & Swatches
If you're satisfied with how you look in makeup,
wait till you see how good you look with Revivas amazing MAKEUP PRIMER
under your makeup. Your skin will feel unbelievably smooth, like a
baby's. And your look...almost flawless. Lines filled in, pores
concealed, excess oil controlled. Once you try it, you won't want to be
without it. It's another Reviva discovery to help you look your best! Under makeup or alone the visible, touchable results are beautiful!
Over moisturizer or directly on clean skin, apply just a drop on
forehead, each cheek and above jaw line. Massage in lightly over entire
face. Allow product to absorb. Then apply makeup. You'll love the
smooth, velvety feel and look. Men, of course, can use it directly on
skin. Perfects skin by refining the texture. Fills in lines, conceals
pores, and controls excess oil. Helps skin instantly look and feel
smooth and silky. Helps makeup foundation last longer (safe under eye
shadow, too). And COQ10 adds protective antioxidant action.
Our Makeup Primer is good for any skin type, even oily. You get the oil
control you want, along with soft, supple skin. Completely
fragrance-free and non-comedogenic (which means it won't cause clogged
pores and breakouts).
Ingredients:
Cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), olive oil, coenzyme Q10, squalane.
Where to Buy: Revivlabs.com, $19.50
The Reviva Labs Makeup Primer ($19.50 for 1 fl.oz.) is supposed to create a flawless base to either put makeup on top of or wear alone. Now I actually got sent this primer from Reviva Labs in August of last year and I've been using it ever since, comparing to other primers along the way!

A Little Bit of This and That Haul
Okay so about a week ago I went to the mall with a strict list of things I needed to get and came home with bags full of stuff that just happened to catch my attention while out and about...story of my life!
I just stopped by Bath & Body Works to grab some things I was running out of and then hit up the drugstore to look for the new Maybelline collection with the color tattoos (which if you saw my post a while ago I did eventually find it!) but instead ended up getting all of this!

Around the World in 80 Eyeshadows: Weekly Round-Up 9/24/12
Question of the Week:
What's your go-to fall color this year?
Emily's answer: I have been absolutely obsessing over dark vampy lips! Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry is next on my list to get, even if I don't wear it that often its still too beautiful to pass up! For eyes, I'm loving green colors like Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Mossy Green which I've been using non-stop since I got it, which is surprising since I never wear color on my eyes! Bright yellow golds like MAC's Paint Pot in Treasure Hunt from last year's Posh Paradise collection are something I've been gravitating towards as well.

Pretty & Practical Storage: Rings
Hi guys, hope you've all had a lovely weekend!
I'm going to be starting a new series on storage for all sorts of girly items that can sometimes be a pain to find a place for. I'm quite OCD to the point where everything must have its own little home that looks nice otherwise it makes me very distraught, so I figured I'd be a good person to give some advice on pretty but practical (hence the name) storage ideas!
First up is rings!

Guest Post: Megan's Everyday Eye Look!
Hey lovelies, I'm pretty sure you guys don't know me but I'm, Meg from Beauty on a College Budget. I'm here to let you guys on a little secret. Want to look like you put a lot of effort into your eye makeup with none of the effort? It's so easy it'll blow your mind. Apply some sort of a shimmery eyeshadow to just the lid of your eye, closely line the top lashes with black liner, add mascara and voila fancy eye makeup in no time. Sounds too easy doesn't it? I promise it looks awesome every time!
So you start out your face makeup as your usual routine. No special advice for that. You of course should always prime your eyes first. I used Elf's Eyelid Primer ($1).
Step 1- Apply a light shimmery eyeshadow to just your lids. In this look I applied MUA Pearl shadow in shade 4 (£1 for our European friends.) to just my lids.
Step 3- Curl your lashes and add mascara. I used Urban Decay's Curling Mascara mini ($10)
Bam! You have a super cute eye look that always look great!

In the picture below are a few different palettes you could pick a shimmery eyeshadow from. If there's a smiley face on or under an eyeshadow those are the shades I'd advise using for this look. I've included some palettes that hopefully everyone can get their hands on. Even for those ladies across the pond!
The palettes above are as follows: MUA palette, Heaven and Earth sells for around £4. Kat Von D Saint palette that sells around $36. UrbanDecay NAKED sells around $50. MUA single eyeshadow Pearl Finish shade 4 (used in this tutorial.)
So now you ladies know my secret put it to good use! I use this all the time, and love it!

Around the World in 80 Eyeshadows: Weekly Round-Up 9/17/12
Hi everyone! So me and a couple other bloggers have started this new series called "Around the World in 80 Eyeshadows" which is going to be a weekly round up of links from our blogs! We're mainly focusing on beauty bloggers that are from all over the world so our readers get to experience new products, and its not all about eyeshadows as our name would suggest! We will be posting every Monday and are looking for some new bloggers to add to our littler group, so if you're interested shoot me a little email :) I hope you guys enjoy!
Question of the Week:
What's your favorite beauty item exclusive to your location?
Emily's answer: Wet n Wild! I remember buying all their products when I was in the 6th grade (they were quite crap back then) so they're kind of a nostalgic brand for me. When I first picked up a product from them a few years later I wasn't expecting much, more of a cheap thrill. But Wet n Wild has knocked other drugstore (and even high-end) eyeshadows out of the park! They are my second favorite brand for shadows next to Urban Decay, the pigmentation and texture is amazing, you won't even understand unless you have one of these little miracles! I also fancy their blushes quite a bit, they are SO pigmented and smooth. Just wish they came in more than 4 colors! Its a shame Wet n Wild isn't offered in other countries because I know people would instantly fall in love with their products!
This Week's Links:
Beauty & Baggage- is (unfortunately for your wallets) admitting that the NARS Yachiyo Kabuki Brush is worth the money.
Fashionable Heart- is professing her love for chiffon with her latest clothing haul!
Massachusetts Mask- is transitioning from Summer to Fall with the help of Revlon's Posh Nail Polish; its just bright enough to keep the Summer fun while the days get colder and colder!
Norwegian Elephant- because sometimes good need not be expensive ;)

Maybelline Limited Edition Fashion Week Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow Haul & Swatches
I've been on an epic hunt to try and find most of the new Limited Edition Maybelline Color Tattoos that apparently everyone else wants! I've been around to every drugstore in my area and it wasn't until a random stop at Walgreens last night that I found the Fashion Week ones. There's also a separate collection that Maybelline released 4 new colors for fall, which I've only seen at Target!

August Favorites
August is always that one month that I cannot wait to end. I LOVE the start of September, its always represented the start of new things since its been when I've gone back to school for the past 12 years. But this year is a little bittersweet since I've decided not to attend University right away, so I kind of feel like I'm missing out while all my friends are posting their photos online with their new college buddies.
I'm trying to look at the bright side, I want to really further my blog and create new opportunities for myself in this time off from school! I've invested in my new Nikon D3100 and I hope you've been noticing how much better and clearer the photos have been, I'm obsessed with just snapping pictures all around my room! But enough rambling, on to the makeup I've loved throughout August!

Pretty & Charming
I love looking around Etsy to try and see what cute little pieces of jewelry I can find to add to my collection.
Recently, I've been on the hunt for dainty bow rings. I came across Ivy's shop Pretty & Charming where she makes wire rings. These little rings were so reasonably priced at $5.00 I had to order and I'm not disappointed!
