Holiday Bargains

One of the best part of the holidays that many people forget about are the sales that happen afterwards!

Recently on a little trip to Christopher & Banks I came across two of the cutest pair of earrings in the 50% off bin.

They were originally $12.95 each but I only paid $5.00 a pair, which is an absolute steal!

I can still wear these earrings now that it's winter because they aren't too Christmas related and I'm very impressed with the quality, most earrings I buy make my ears hurt a bit from the metal but so far no issues with these.

So keep your eyes peeled when you're out shopping because you never know what little deals you're going to come across!

The Gay Dolphin

Can we just ignore my gross chipped nails?
I can just imagine most of you reading the title of this post and saying "huh?!" haha but I promise I'll explain!

My mom recently went to South Carolina last week on vacation to Myrtle Beach, where we used to go all the time when I was younger. I can always remember the excessive amounts of gift shops they have down there like Eagles and Waves that seem to be around every corner (and I mean multiples of each store)!

But no store was ever as exciting to go in than The Gay Dolphin Gift Cove! Its a huge multilayer store that has everything from stuffed animals to dishes for the house. On the bottom level they have this amazing boutique style set up that is just completely full of jewelry, everything from costume to really expensive jewels. I used to save my money the entire trip until we went to The Gay Dolphin just to spend it all on the amazing selection of jewelry! I still have so many pieces that I bought down there that are so special to me because they bring back a lot of memories.

This time when my mom came back she brought me a pair of earrings that are right up my aisle! They're a bit of a bronze-y rose gold color wire wrapped hoops that are perfect for me since I love to wear my statement earrings! What I love even more is that my mom got herself a slightly smaller pair in a different color so we can match ;)

Just thought I'd share these with you so in case any of you live in/near South Carolina or plan on vacationing there!

Pretty & Practical Storage: Rings

Hi guys, hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

I'm going to be starting a new series on storage for all sorts of girly items that can sometimes be a pain to find a place for. I'm quite OCD to the point where everything must have its own little home that looks nice otherwise it makes me very distraught, so I figured I'd be a good person to give some advice on pretty but practical (hence the name) storage ideas!

First up is rings!

Pretty & Charming

I love looking around Etsy to try and see what cute little pieces of jewelry I can find to add to my collection.

Recently, I've been on the hunt for dainty bow rings. I came across Ivy's shop Pretty & Charming where she makes wire rings. These little rings were so reasonably priced at $5.00 I had to order and I'm not disappointed!

Christopher & Banks Jewelry

Hey guys, I recently went to my local Christopher & Banks with my mom for the first time. I have no idea why we've overlooked that store SO many times when we're at the mall, they have some pretty fantastic stuff and its always on sale!

Here's the link to their online site, go check it out, you might find a good deal!

From my February Showroom...

"Every girl knows diamonds make the best friends. Every fashionista knows diamonds with pearls are best friends forever. Out large pearl cocktail ring sports a wreath of eight crystals to keep the sparkle going on all night long. Finished with an equally glam 14k gold-plating, this festive bauble has all the makings of your next standout ensemble."

Yes, yes, I've jumped on the JewelMint bandwagon! I honestly never planned on ordering anything from them, but I found a coupon online that was 70% off your first purchase (its not available anymore, sorry!) so it only ended up being around $8.99 and I took the plunge.

If you don't know what JewelMint is (but I mean, how could you not by now?!) here's a little description from their website:

"Experience an exclusive jewelry collection designed by actress and fashion icon, Kate Bosworth, and her celebrity stylist, Cher Coulter. Inspired by the runway, vintage pieces and places they love, Kate and Cher design a versatile collection each month, so we can recommend the perfect pieces to match your style."

I was pleasantly surprised by the Style Profile questionnaire you answer, it was really accurate for me. Everything that ends up in my showroom each month is stunning, I would honestly order all of them (if of course I inherited a bazillion dollars)!

I thought I would go ahead on order the Starburst Ring instead of the more spring-y jewelry they had because I really love how formal this looks and my prom is just around the corner! The little box this came in is SO lovely, I wasn't expecting a gorgeous mint green box that snaps shut with a magnet (much like the Urban Decay Naked Palette) and has a velvet interior with a little card that has the description of the Starburst ring. The JewelMint boxes are most definitely something you keep, its too nice to be put in the trash!

My only complaint with JewelMint is the sizes their rings come in, they only go up to an 8. Now that's fine for my ring finger, but I would've liked to have gotten this in a size 9 so I could wear it on my middle finger (I know, I know, I have sausage fingers)! I'm hoping to accumulate a nice little collection of JewelMint pieces in the future!

Bhati Beads

I first discovered these beautiful bracelets on a YouTube beauty guru's video, beautyxxgoddess! She put a link to the Bhati Beads website in the downbar, so I checked it out and absolutely fell in love. The Bhati Beads website features so many gorgeous different styles of silk wrap bracelets (among other jewelry), all hand made by Margaret Maggard herself!
They were having a huge 30% off sale on Cyber Monday, so that's when I placed my order!
I ordered a red Silk Planet wrap, which are normally $48 a piece, but I got it for $41, including shipping!

My package came on Friday the 10th of December, and that's really the only problem I had with the Bhati Beads. I ordered them on the 29th of November, and was expecting it to only take maybe 4 or 5 days to arrive. But when I saw this cute little package, complete with hot pink tissue paper, it made the wait completely worth it!

When you receive your order, you get a little box with everything in it wrapped nicely in hot pink tissue paper (or possibly some other colors!) and a handwritten card from Margaret Maggard herself! Inside the tissue paper, there's a gorgeous little gold cinch bag with your wrap in it and a little Bhati Beads business card.

The wraps come with little toggle-style clasp ends, complete with a little silver tag labeled "BB x MM" for Bhati Beads and Margaret Maggard!

I usually wear my Bhati Beads wrap around my wrist, but I have done it around my neck as a long, dangly necklace, and even as headband! The price of these is a little high, but if you think about the various ways they can be worn, you're getting a great deal!

If you don't want to go through the shipping issues I had, you now don't have to! The Gap's line "Athleta" now sells some Bhati Beads here! There is a limited selection, but none the less gorgeous!

Here, beautyxxgoddess a YouTube beauty guru, features Bhati Beads in an Outfit Of The Day video!

And then later does a full review on them, which can be watched here!

I would definitely recommend you check out these gorgeous homemade creations! So head over to the Bhati Beads website or your local Gap store and pick one of these up today!
